Hello, dear friend. My name is Brandie Michelle Peters, and I am the founder of the PsyChicks Community and the PsyChicks Collective. Thank you so much for considering me. If you keep reading, you'll hear all about my creative talents and metaphysical gifts and how I am using them to be of service to those who feel drawn to me.

The story of how I developed my interest in the metaphysical world began tragic and transformed to hopeful and inspired. In my late teens, my boyfriend committed suicide, leaving me devastated and lost without an explanation. The counselling at my college and the psychotherapist who was helping me did not provide much closure or encouragement. Grief-stricken, I found myself wandering the internet, searching for insight from mediums who could help me contact him on the other side. As a chronically "online girlie" of the 2000s, I was no stranger to web forums and Facebook communities where people connected over shared interests. Before this tragedy, I had been deeply involved in gaming and fantasy role-playing communities. However, after my loss, I was drawn to communities focused on spirituality, metaphysical theories, and developing psychic abilities. In these spaces, I found encouragement from mediums who helped me navigate my grief and set me on a new path—one of healing, self-discovery, and purpose. This was in 2007, and I have been on a positive trajectory ever since. Because of the encouragement I received from these communities, I have gone on to become a successful entrepreneur and someone who wholeheartedly believes in the magic that happens when we align ourselves with the light and live with God in our hearts.

Flash forward to 2012, when I launched the first incarnation of my marketing business, BP Creative Marketing Strategies. Before this, I had been a successful blogger with a social media following, and people from the metaphysical groups I frequented began asking me to help with their online marketing. Honestly, that's how it all really started. The reason my career in marketing has been focused on the helping, healing, holistic, and spiritual space is largely because my first clients came from the communities that had supported me through my healing. My passion for and eclectic knowledge of the industry allowed me to build a strong career in marketing. From 2012 to 2021, I worked as a marketing director, strategist, and consultant for individuals creating businesses in this niche. My deep interest in marketing technology, along with my certifications and experience in social media advertising, helped me create a lucrative career. I am incredibly grateful for the years I spent behind the scenes, helping metaphysical business owners build their brands.

However, by 2022—following the COVID-19 pandemic—I was completely burnt out. My business had seen a massive surge in demand and had become very successful as more businesses required digital marketing solutions. But while the demand for my expertise was at an all-time high, my enthusiasm for continuing in that role was at an all-time low. After the birth of my daughter, I decided to step away from my marketing agency and accepted a full-time position at a popular ceremonial cacao eCommerce business. During this time, I was also developing PsyChicks, which I operated as a side-hustle passion project for the first three years.

To backtrack a little, the founding of PsyChicks in 2019 initially happened because I was running a course on building successful Facebook groups. I had created and managed several Facebook groups, and this knowledge was something I was known for and teaching at the time. Honestly, I created PsyChicks without knowing exactly where it would go. I just had a passion for all things metaphysical and wanted to build a community that I believed would be wonderful to maintain and grow. By this point, the casual, welcoming tone of the spiritual Facebook groups I had once enjoyed had begun to dissolve, and I felt I could create a space that was fun, relaxed, and helpful—especially for those (like me) who were in the seeking phase of their awakening journey or struggling with grief.

A lot has evolved in both myself and the vision of the PsyChicks Community since its inception. Being the host of such a special community and leading the PsyChicks Collective has pushed me to develop myself further, become even more in tune with God, and deeply respect the position I have created for myself. There have been ups and downs in our community's lifespan. At times, I have had to step away to reflect on the direction I wanted to take it. I do not take the responsibility of leading a metaphysical community lightly. Now, I fully embrace my role as its caretaker. I am proud to say that, as of September 2024, PsyChicks is no longer my "side hustle"—it is my full-time source of income and my primary focus.

One of my core beliefs is that "the future looks bright!" In 2024, with the redevelopment of the PsyChicks trajectory and the reestablishment of our professional collective, I finally declared our mission statement: To empower self-love and self-trust through the exploration of the metaphysical.

I needed to create a mission statement that our diverse collective of metaphysical practitioners could stand behind—something that would unite our community with a common purpose and help perpetuate the good vibes and positive energy we have cultivated over the years.

You may be wondering, "What is PsyChicks all about?" Well, it’s about encouraging curiosity and facilitating positive transformations through an open-minded approach to metaphysical topics. Each of us is on our own journey of self-realization, awakening, and prosperity. I hope our community serves as an encouraging space no matter where you are on that path.

One thing I deeply believe in is the power of synchronicities and serendipitous occurrences that guide us toward our soul's purpose—the destination God is leading us to. Where I started is the same place many of those who come to PsyChicks are starting. My goal is to give back in gratitude for the kindness and support I received from those ahead of me on this journey. There is something profoundly magical about the way we can heal one another simply by being available to care. I continue to provide peer support and a sense of community for those seeking a place to belong as they navigate existential realities and spiritual awakenings.
