How to Find Aligned Clients Inside of The PsyChicks Community
Metaphysical Business Marketing Strategies That Work to Attract Clients
Metaphysical entrepreneurs often face unique challenges when starting their spiritual, gift-based businesses. Finding customers who understand the benefits of their unique offerings can be overwhelming. New business owners typically spend a lot of time on marketing instead of serving people. The PsyChicks Collective solves this by offering metaphysical professionals immediate access to a receptive, trusting audience eager to connect.
Why Is It So Hard to Find Aligned Clients for Your Metaphysical Business?
Let's discuss why it can be so difficult for spiritual business operators to find clients, both in person and online, when they first start. Here are three primary reasons why building a client base takes so long:
1. Lack of Trust with an Audience
If you're a new psychic medium, spiritual advisor, mentor, coach, or healer, chances are nobody knows about your work yet. Unless you've been building an audience on social media for a long time and have an established reputation, you'll be starting from scratch. Establishing a trusting relationship with an audience takes time. This process also requires a lot of clarity in your brand and professional presentation, as well as consistently producing content that explains what you do. This can be a full-time job, and there’s often a learning curve with strategy and a trial-and-error period of experimentation — and still no actual guarantee that it will work out.Â
The PsyChicks Collective aspires to remove this obstacle by allowing members to build their own business audience from within our audience. We've already laid the foundation by building trust as a reputable and fun community brand that many curious seekers frequent. Our established audience is eager to connect with high-quality, talented, and charismatic people who provide metaphysical services, such as intuitive guidance, tarot card readings, energy healing, mentorship, and spiritual advice. If you teach courses or offer programs, these will be in high demand within our community, where people are eager to learn. Additionally, as a member of the collective, you can begin offering your business services immediately. You don't have to wait to “prove yourself” to an audience, as our community expects that we're actively recruiting high-quality practitioners. The reputation of our collective members is shared, and you can trust that members of our collective follow a consistent level of high quality conduct — and you, as a new member, can also benefit from this.
2. Competition On Social Media
As a metaphysical practitioner with a good heart, you probably don’t like thinking of yourself as being in competition with anyone. However, the reality is that when you go online, there are a lot of people trying to make an income sharing their spiritual gifts, and many of them have a head start over you when it comes to figuring out a content strategy and establishing trust with an audience. Obviously, you know that what you do is unique because it comes from you and your spirit. This wisdom can be held onto when you scroll on Instagram and see what feels like hundreds of other practitioners all peddling the same type of offers as yourself. You may wish there was a way you could get around the whole “waiting to build an audience” thing and just dive in and share the original gifts that you bring to the table. This is completely understandable and one of the main reasons why the PsyChicks Collective exists.
In 2019, when PsyChicks Collective founder Brandie Michelle Peters founded PsyChicks, she was teaching a course on how to build a successful Facebook Group to clients of her then marketing agency. She was advising a group of people on how to build social media audiences of their own and she decided to start a new one from scratch to show in real-time how it was done. When she first started the PsyChicks Community, it was because she always enjoyed creating the things that she wished existed. Because she was going to build a new group to demonstrate her audience engaging strategies, she decided to do something that suited her interests and that was one of a kind. As someone who always loved everything supernatural, mystical, mysterious and “woo”, she decided to create a group for other people like herself who had an eclectic interest in these topics. She decided to make the community more relaxed, fun, and socially-oriented because she felt other spiritual-themed groups on Facebook had become difficult to participate in due to guru positioning, knowledge flexing, and unvetted self-promotion. She was also aware of the psychic schemes and scams that plagued other poorly moderated communities and wanted to offer a solution. It was this vision to create an engaged, well-moderated, positive, and open-minded audience that initially motivated her. Later on, when the group was already established, she created The PsyChicks Collective. The PsyChicks Collective was made up of professionals who would pay a membership fee in order to advertise their businesses to the thriving PsyChicks group.
Now you may be wondering, won’t there be a lot of competition amongst PsyChicks Collective members if they are sharing the exact same audience? This concern is frequently addressed inside of the private members-only group, where collective members are encouraged to collaborate and cooperate, serving as role models to the audience. This approach has really benefited all collective members who also share a reputation. Our community understands that we function as a positive collective and that we bring in a variety of diverse talent and personalities, all with unique things to offer. Having a positive experience with one collective member often gets a customer excited to try a different collective member. It really is a beautiful way to co-create together. When issues or concerns come up between members of the collective, regarding competition or anything else, it is addressed privately behind the scenes. Our greater community can count on our community being drama-free and professionally operated. All members of the collective are encouraged to honor the reputation that we share, and the type of people who join the collective are excited to be working with others with similar goals to themselves.
3. Lack of Appropriate Audience
The third challenge many metaphysical practitioners face when connecting with new clients for their gift-based offerings is that they don't have access to an audience who understands and is interested in their unique work. The lack of a customer base that understands the context of what's being sold is a key reason why making sales can be so hard. When speaking to a broad consumer audience and trying to get them to understand the value of metaphysical-related products and services, extensive explanation may be required before they're willing to try it out. Depending on the specifics of what you offer, some prerequisite knowledge or prior understanding may be required for them to fully grasp what you're trying to share.
This is why joining the PsyChicks Collective is a wonderful opportunity for metaphysical providers looking to connect with new clients. Because our community comprises people who are "spiritually awakening" and interested in things relating to their personal wellness and development, connecting with potential customers is much easier. For example, if you offer Tarot readings, you'll find many people who enjoy supporting talented readers. If you sell a course on spirit guide connection, you can find people interested in connecting with their own spirit guides. Those who join the collective and make a sincere effort to be visible and cooperate in serving the group find potential customers reaching out to them to find out more about what they offer. If you have a business offer suitable for people who identify as PsyChicks community members, then our collective should provide you with a fantastic return on investment.
Finding Aligned Clients Doesn’t Have to Be So Difficult!
If you have felt challenged trying to figure out how and where to promote your metaphysical business offerings online you are not alone. Building trust with an audience, competing to stand out on social media and not having access to people who actually understand what you do, can really create a feeling of discouragement and struggle. Even with a positive mindset and a lot of effort invested, without a solution, you may still feel as if growing a successful metaphysical business is hopeless. Helping metaphysical business owners overcome these challenges and actually be of service to people is what the PsyChicks collective was created to do.
The way that the PsyChicks community founder Brandie approached developing the PsyChicks Collective is with these 3 common marketing challenges in mind. From her years of experience working with practitioners in the spiritual and metaphysical industry she understood that the type of people who start these types of businesses truly just wish to support and be of service to people. However, because they also wish to have successful businesses they end up spending a lot of time trying to figure out how to market themselves - and are left running in circles trying to get their businesses off the ground. What PsyChicks Collective aspires to provide is an opportunity for a fantastic return on investment to the members by resolving the common issues holding these operators back and help them by connecting them with an already established audience of curious seekers, who they can be of service to as co-hosts of the greater community.
What are the values of our professional collective?
In order to participate in the PsyChicks Business Collective we have a few values that we expect practitioners to respect and be held accountable to. These are:
Conduct Your Business Ethically
We ask that members of the PsyChicks Collective conduct their professional operations ethically. Ethically in this context includes: They provide the promised deliverables. They are clear about what they are selling and do not mislead people. They communicate with customers / clients. They operate within the scope of their abilities and experience. They do not share confidential information.
Respect Your Fellow Collective Members
Any disputes between collective members should be resolved privately and not in the public community. You do not put down or sabotage the businesses operations of your fellow members. You behave maturely and with respect when instances of differing perspectives or views occur. You serve as role models of good conduct and collaboration to the greater community.
Provide Disclaimers
Due to the subjective nature of metaphysical work, you must provide a disclaimer to your clients about the nature of your offerings and direct people towards proper medical / professional help when appropriate to avoid liability concerns. You should also be upfront about your experience level and any expertise or certifications that you have.
Empower & Encourage Self-Trust
When providing guidance and support to people in the community, the end goal should be that you as the practitioner or modality provider are just 1 source of support and you want to try to empower people to “seek within” as their own primary source of discernment. We do not allow guru positioning; where you are appointing yourself as authority over someone else.
By having these etiquette expectations and holding members of the PsyChicks Collective to them, we are able to promote our community as being led by ethical and vetted practitioners who are operating in service of the community. When you choose to work with a member of the PsyChicks Collective, you can trust that you are working with someone who cares about you and wishes to provide the highest quality experience for clients.
